For Low C,,,you have to hook your upper lip over the emboucher and blow down into the HJ start with E then to D then C in one breath,,,once you get the vibration going you'll get it,,,,,,do it 10 min/day

its weird, you just kinda have to practie getting it. If you kinda smile, but keep the corners of your mouth relaxed you should get it. I know that sounds weird, but that's what my private teacher told me and it works.
You make your embousure hold smaller for high notes and larger for low notes.
i got the same problem too and how to hit not c in low.....i got a problem doing it...
you should slow your air down. point it down into the hole, but not so much. I started band last year and still have a bit of trouble playing low C. don't worry you will do it. btw, do you mean the D that is below the first E?
