Hi. It's good you're inspired by the professors. I wonder what they played.
I hope you're enjoying teaching! It must be fun.
I'm quite pleased with myself for my fluting achievements because I can now play high F reasonably nicely, so I can play my F major scale up and down in two octaves! (I can nearly hear you laughing at my small amount of progress. I've also been amusing myself by playing 'Sheep May Safely Graze' by Bach along to a CD I've got with the Cello and Violin accompaniment. My neighbours must wonder what's going on!
I see you must like Monet's paintings. I do too.
I was wondering how on earth do you manage to play those really high notes well? Is it something to do with the apperture, or just practice until you reach them? There seems to be no way of getting that high G at the moment. All I get is a lot of air and a red face. I bet you can do it without thinking, can't you?

Oh! ..... and yes! What are the top ten flute care tips you mentioned? It would be good to know about them.

Hi! It's great to hear that you're inspired. What did you play with the professors?
I'm really looking forward to playing with other people and getting a teacher. I've just moved, so I'm in a new environment altogether.
I learned what I know of the flute from an old lady I knew in my last place, and learned from books and CD's by myself too, so I don't have any grades or that kind of stuff.
I listen to the woodwind section of the worship band at church intently hoping that one day I might be able to play with them. Last Christmas I played at my old church and just about got away with it. The audience was about 300, so I was quite nerveous. I hadn't been playing for very long at all, and hardly anybody knew I had been learning.
I also played for the opening of a new music studio in the community I was living in before I moved. It was kind of in honour of the people who had funded it being built. That time it was a little solo, which was followed by a speech about how good it was to have the studio facility, and the value of learning an instument.
I see you've been playing for about 5 years. How did it all begin for you? I wonder if you admired a particular flautist or composer, or the sound of the instrument. Maybe I should say how it can sound.

Hi. Thank you for your kind offer to help me with flauting things. I know less about computer stuff than I do about flute, so it's good to have a mentor. I'm still surprised that you're in America and I'm in England. Malcolm
