ok ever since i got my flute and when i began play i learned all the notes like normal i didnt rent my flute i bought it off the internet (300$) well when i learned my F note it sounded a bit no more like a lot higher than the other flutes F. and yes i did do the right keys. well then i learned my G note and all it is is putting one finger up right well i did that and it sounded exactly like my F note theres no difference they sound exactly the same and now i cant ~tr~ from f to g cause it doesnt sound any different. :(( help

Firstly, have the flute checked by a woodwind specialist in repairing and servicing.
Assuming there isn't anything wrong with the instrument,There's a lot more to producing the note than just the fngering. It really takes a long time to get the idea of adjusting the embrochure and suporting the sound with air propelled from the diaphragm and abdominal muscles, but it's worth it. The quality of the sound is made from you, not just your breath across the lip plate combined with the right combination of fingers. It's what makes the instrument sound varied, individual and colourful.
It would be a good idea to have a teacher to train you.

hi just seen your post ditto to malcolm ie ensure the flute has all the parts working correctly and pads etc are ok..other then that when i first started mt b and a sounded then same but as my muscles and embouchure improved this soon recified...i still get it when i am learning new notes or pieces... hope this helps..
