Hi, I’m Jesse and I have bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from the University of Northern Colorado. I am currently the Webmaster for the university but continue to play on the side for fun. CPE Bach is probably one of my favorite composers, but I love extended techniques as well. At my senior recital I performed Ian Clarke’s Zoom Tube.

Hi, I'm Kathryn. I used to play clarinet in high school and college. But my sensitivities got so that I can hardly stand to hear it unless it's a master player. I picked up the flute in October and hope to improve quickly. In November I joined the Jeffco Community Band in Arvada. Nice group, challenging music, at least for me!

Hi. My name is Crystal Wilder. I have been playing for about 14 years. I got my bachelor's degree in business from Barton College in my hometown (Wilson, NC), but I really want to go back and get it for music. I just got asked to play at a wedding, and hopefully that will help me to branch out and do that on the side apart from my full-time job.

Hello, I'm Ron and I graduated from Berklee College of Music (Boston) with a performance degree (woodwinds) and later got an MA in Music from NJ State University. Played in an Air Force Band for 4 years (Clarinet, Saxes, and Flute), then did some club work. Yeah ... then I got a real job. Now, many years later, I am nearing retirement and have been working out on my flute again (I always kept up on the clarinet).

Hi, my name is Katie. I am an industrial engineer, and I plan on graduating this December. Even, though I am not a music major, I am still an active member in the marching band, pep band, and concert band, while still taking lessons to improve myself. I have been playing flute for 12 years and playing piccolo for 9 years. I hope to continue on to a community band once I graduate.

hi, my name is Tiffany and i am about to go into high school. i started the flute in the fifth grade and i joined the school band iin middle school. during this tiime frame i joined my church orchestra which helped me to grow a lot in my flute playing. A year after i joined the church orchestra, the clarinetist/oboist had to drop out of the orchestra which just left me and another flute player as the only winds in the orchestra. that is when i picked up and taught myself how to play the oboe. i play oboe more often than i play the flute but i will never leave my first love. (the flute) im glad i chose the flute. it has given me a lot of new experiences like being in the 2009 alameda county jr high honor band and this year i had the privelege to be in it again but on oboe this year. i hope i have many years ahead to become a better flutist.

Hi,
My name is Alice, I love to play the flute. I find it very relaxing and calming. It helps me unwind after a hectic day. I am hoping to ba able to start a band soon. Well I suppose you could call it a group more than that of a band. It will consist most likely of a piano, trumpet, flute, and possibly a clarinet. My hobbies are Playing the flute (obviously), Listening to Rock music ( my favorite artist is Marilyn Manson, yes I said artist the man is a genius), I like to knit as well. Weird combonation I know, but hey it's what makes me, well...ME!

hey y'all! im kana..i go to Lafayette High School in MS and i have been playing flute for about 6 years..i love every minute of it! im in my high school marching & concert band! (we have gotten all superior ratings at marching and concert competitions for a very long time, and we work our tails off to get those scores) ;D
i have been chosen to be the leader of the flutes section for the next 2 years until i gradute and i am VERY excited about it! im so glad that i found this site and i will definately be informing my section about it so they may join! :)
im so happy that i found a site with so many people with a passion for the flute! :)

I take every opprotunity I can to perform for others, and I'm actively a part of my school's band. I'm starting to broaden my music horizons by joining more music groups in my school, school district, and outside of school. :D
I'm not sure if I gonna be a music major, but I know for a fact that I'm gonna continue to play flute in college and participate in marching and pep band activities. :]
